This week in class we were very lucky to have students from Colquitz Middle School come in and teach us Mine Craft. It was a very fun and engaging activity where we got to learn the many benefits of applying this interactive experience into our own classrooms. I really enjoyed the fact that we were all in the world together as a class. It made it much more engaging. I feel that I would need to play more in MineCraft before feeling comfortable enough to incorporate it into my lesson plans.
My group, (Nicole, Kelsey, and myself), presented our inquiry topic on Mindfulness Apps in Education. I really enjoyed working with my group, and I learned a lot about mindfulness and what it might look like in a classroom. There is so much versatility with mindfulness and there are so many apps available that it makes it very accessible.
