This week for my free inquiry project, I decided to go for a nice long run down Dallas road at sunset. It honestly was such an amazing experience. First of all, I love to run and I love sunsets. I found this activity to be so invigorating, and it really helped bring a sense of calm before a stressful week. I felt very emotionally, mentally, and spiritually recharged after this activity. I definitely want to continue doing activities that engage with nature because I find them very useful for my mental wellbeing. It can often be easy to just want to watch TV or doing something “relaxing” after a long week, but a lot of those activities do not recharge us mentally or emotionally. I think it’s important to do activities that are going to leave us feeling grateful, content, and calm. The next outdoor activity I pursue will hopefully involve some sort of meditation as well. This will be a nice way to link my Ed Tech Inquiry with my personal inquiry project.
